Puma Easy Rider III
MSRP: US$69.99
Price: I got these shoes on sale for US$39.99, (original MSRP price is US$69.99), they if your lucky and can find them they are a cheap shoe and as Bob Barker would say "the price is right". This was really the reason why i bought these shoes. My old ones were loosing grip fast and i needed something that wouldn't slip when trying to land on a rail. When i saw the price of them on sale i thought, 'what the hell" and bought them. (9/10)
Style: As with most Puma shoes, they look great. The Easy Rider III comes in many colours ranging from mostly all black to green and yellow. No shortage of colour to match your style and flow. The ones i purchased were black and white and made of textile, leather and suede. (8/10)
Grip: At first they had a great amount of grip. They look like they have a variant of the stealth rubber from fiveten shoes on the button because of the button design. While using the shoes they noticeably wear quite fast and obviously because of this they dont last long. However, the grip is decent while it lasts and rail to rails can be landed with precision and confidence. Wall runs however dont work well because the shoes slip on brick for some reason when trying to run up the walls. when landing on brick they seem to work fine though.(6/10)
Weight: At a weight of just 9.00 oz they are extremely light weight and it shows.(9/10)
Shock Absorbency: there is a good inch of polyurethane for the midsole of the shoe that absorbs shock quite well. Jumping off roofs dont give any discomfort even without a safety roll for the landing. In fact i have had no discomfort from up to 15 ft. (7/10)
Comfort: The Easy Riders are a very comfortable shoe. Very little break-in is required so they are fresh right out of the box and ready for running. So far they havent broken down and still are incredibly comfortable.(8/10)
Overall: The Easy Rider III is a decent shoe for parkour considering it isnt designed for it. Where it goes wrong however is the durability of the sole. it really doesnt last that long. i would give it maybe 15 sessions or less before they not usable anymore. (7.8/10)
